Ik had begrepen dat Jurassic World eigenlijk Jurassic Park is, maar omdat het zo'n succes werd, is het omgedoopt tot World (ipv Park) nadat het groter werd. In andere woorden: het is nooit zo fout gegaan als in film 1 (en 2 en 3 ).

Ik kan me namelijk niet voorstellen dat er nog geldschieters zouden zijn in dat universum, na de gebeurtenissen in film 1, 2 en 3

Dat is niet het geval hoor, het is gewoon een sequel: Masrani Corp koopt inGen 22 jaar na het incident. Er gaan zelfs sterke geruchten dat je in de film de overblijfselen van het oude park te zien krijgt als een soort nostalgie cameo.

Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a full- functioning dinosaur theme resort called Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. This new park was built and is now owned by the Masrani Corporation. Owen (Chris Pratt), a member of Jurassic World's on-site staff, conducts behavioral research on the Velociraptors. In recent years, Jurassic World's attendance rates have begun to decline and a new attraction created to re-spark visitor interest gravely backfires, sparking a fight for survival for Jurassic World's employees and visitors.

Wow, zo had ik het helemaal niet begrepen! Ik dacht dat Jurassic Park succesvol was (gezien film 1 nu 22 jaar oud is) en uitgebreid was tot World, waarna de bezoekersaantallen zakten en ze dus nieuwe dinosaurussen gingen maken.

Haha! Nouja, ik heb wel zin in de film iig

Maar wel een beetje raar dat er alsnog geldschieters zijn voor zo'n project, ondanks film 1,2, en 3. Of zijn 2 en 3 niet gebeurd? (die worden niet genoemd in de synopsis van IMDB)

Voor zover ik weet wordt alles meegenomen, dus ook de incidenten van Isla Sorna (Site B van Lost World en 3). Maar het boek verwijst erg veel naar het stilzwijgen van bepaalde zaken door lokale politiek, dus wellicht speelt dat mee in het volgende verhaal.

Masrani zou een miljarden bedrijf zijn in olie en veiligheid. De eerst volgende tak waar ze zich op willen richten is DNA. En natuurlijk is daar veel geld mee te verdienen dus dat is wat dat bedrijf ook trekt om daar in te investeren ondanks het risico. Op de website van masraniglobal.com kun je veel lezen als achtergrond informatie als je dat leuk vindt. Zoals dit:

"CEO Simon Masrani has announced a boost of $225 million over the next three years to subsidiary InGen. Funds are allocated to further support InGen's private security division, which has become a world leader specializing in peacekeeping, drone operation and contingency services. "Jurassic World is a global destination, and that comes with a certain set of risks" says Vic Hoskins — Head of Security Operations for InGen. "Our job here on Nublar is to work with Asset Containment and park staff to ensure a safe environment for the millions of people who visit every year." According to Mr. Hoskins, the increase in funding will drive research as the company continues to develop more advanced security measures."

Welcome back to Jurassic Park. After more than twelve years in development hell, the fourth Jurassic Park film 'Jurassic World' is finally releasing this June. The wait has paid off - the current buzz surrounding the movie is exceedingly positive, with many praising the stories exciting new direction while others are just happy to return to Nublar. Fans have continued to express their excitement and support across the internet, with the first Jurassic World trailer breaking YouTube records, reaching 53.9 million views in one week.

Fans aren't the only ones excited; We've heard that Universal Pictures are incredibly confident regarding Jurassic World. Not only are they very happy with the film and story that Colin Trevorrow has created, they are also projecting strong box office numbers.



Unsurprisingly, early production of a Jurassic World sequel has begun. It's all very 'blue sky' right now, as the current focus is finishing Jurassic World and making it the best movie possible. That said, Universal is moving forward with the franchise, exploring the exciting new story possibilities paved by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.

Speaking to Empire Online director Colin Trevorrow has already said he had ideas for future films if Jurassic World is a success.

"We definitely talked about [sequels] a lot," the director/co-writer revealed. "We wanted to create something that would be a little bit less arbitrary and episodic, and something that could potentially arc into a series that would feel like a complete story."

A new trilogy was always part of the plan, even when Joe Johnston was involved, so this comes as no surprise. Whether or not Colin Trevorrow will return to direct the sequel or take on a new venture elsewhere remains open, but it is likely he will be involved in the stories direction either way.

As with any industry report, feel free to take this with the appropriate amount of skepticism, but know that we go through lengths to ensure accurate reporting. It's difficult for us to know the possible options without knowing the full story to Jurassic World, but where would you like to see the sequel go?

Omar Sy's role in Jurassic World revealed!

"I wrote the role especially for Omar, I'm a huge fan, I spent a lot of time in France, my wife is French. He has a bigger role than you think - he works for Chris Pratt and is also a Raptor tamer. When Chris, who's in charge, is done with training the Velociraptors, Omar brings them to their cage and takes care of them, checking their teeth, these kind of things. He has a very special relationship with them. There's a great scene with Vincent D'Onofrio when Omar speaks French to the Raptors and Vincent pretends to understand what he's saying. I have not tried to Americanize him - he is French and has a great action scene. Everything he does results in a close relationship with the Velociraptors."

Dus als ik het goed begrijp zitten alle Jurassic Park films in de game? Ziet er leuk uit, vooral Jeff Goldblum

Jup, 4 films in blijkbaar een open-world game (heb ik eerder begrepen). Ik ben erg benieuwd in ieder geval!

Wel een beetje jammer dat ze overduidelijk audio uit de films hebben geknipt, want je hebt zo'n ruis op de achtergrond waar ze het achtergrondgeluid weg hebben gehaald. Hopelijk wordt dat beter.

Waar lees je dat nou van Mr. DNA? In de trailer noemen ze trouwens niks over een open world, maar bij een eerdere press bijeenkomst zeggen ze dat wel. Hopen dat het wel echt zo is, maakt het net ff wat toffer imo.
