The gameplay is about what you would expect. It functions like JPG with less shit terrain tools, and more in-depth gameplay.
There's no building customization, everything's prebuilt, mostly to accomodate console ports. There are multiple options for each building, in the builds I played I could choose between Classic JP buildings, and the newer JW buildings.
Mosasaurus and Pterosaurs are definitely included in some capacity, there's a couple signs that feature them, but neither were implemented in any of the builds I played.
Digsites are unlocked with XP, you start with enough to unlock a single digsite. Three Dinosaurs to a digsite, just like JPOG, but there's already more digsites in the unfinished builds I played than there were in the full game of JPOG.
Security is substantially more complex than JPOG, as you'd expect from a game that's coming out 15 years later. Build Armories from which you recruit a team of security personnel, to drive jeeps, fly helicopters, or hunt dinosaurs on foot. Essentially a breakout causes a minor shift in genre, turning the game into a strategy game.
The game has three tech trees, Security, Science and Entertainment. You need all of them, but it takes a good deal of time to max out any one tree. Security is obvious, you unlock better fences, nicer vehicles, and some shiny anti-dino toys. Science is primarily things like making the digsites and cloning processes easier, getting disease cures, that sort of thing. Entertainment is things like attractions, new shops and amenities. You've got NPC advisors for all of these, but they aren't locked down yet. As it stands you've got Claire, Wu, and Owen as your advisors. If you don't know who those characters are, that makes two of us.
Quite a few of the dinos don't have full AI yet. The herbivores browse/graze, some of them rut, some of the Hadrosaurs and Sauropods sing to eachother. A few herbivores also are a lot more defensive, Trikes and Ankylosaurs will stand their ground against a predator.
The Carnivores hunt, the raptor hyperfocus on specific visitors, Albertosaurs and Allosaurs have small family units.
There's a ton of really awesome animations and behaviours, easily the best part of the game.
If you want to know about any specific dinosaurs, feel free to ask. There were about 50 implemented in the builds I played and I can't be arsed to do a full list.

You guys are gonna lose your minds
...lemme just say, it's everything we wanted it to be.
...It's clearly made by people who really, really love the franchise... it shines through in everything... all aspects of it just come together to make an incredible Jurassic Park experience. I did learn some pretty cool stuff that you won't learn until the 29th...

That may just be the best dinosaur game ever created.

10 Goldblum's out of a possible 10 Goldblum's - it's the highest rating!
...I really enjoyed it, I thought it was great. There was one or two things that niggled me, but apart from that, it's everything we have been wanting.
