Aangezien de game vandaag is uitgekomen in Early Access leek het mij een mooi moment voor een topic voor deze langverwachte titel. Het spel is op moment van schrijven helemaal uit te spelen en bevat al meer content dan de eerste Hades, dus je kunt gerust instappen. De komende maanden, zeker tot het eind van 2024, worden gebruikt om wat art dingen af te ronden, de game wat beter te balanceren en nieuwe wapens, vijanden, bazen, etc toe te voegen.

Het is gelukkig geen copy paste van Hades 1 qua combat. Melinoë speelt net anders dan Zagreus wat wel verfrissend is.
Heb nog bar en bar weinig van de story gezien (stuk of 4 runs waarvan 1 voorbij de 1e boss). Dus ben heel benieuwd hoeveel erin zit
100% een aanrader als je Hades 1 ook leuk vind om te spelen!
Maar hier heb ik gruwelijk veel zin in, de eerste Hades was zo goed.

Ben bang dat ik straks minder fun bij de full release eruit haal. Kijk het nog even aan.

Ik loop alleen tegen hetzelfde aan als in de eerste Hades: weinig variatie in de runs. Ik vind het wel tof dat je vooraf één wapen kiest en daarbij blijft, maar je zit vervolgens ook vast in dezelfde volgorde van biomes met weer dezelfde bosses aan het einde. Die eerste boss heb ik nu zo’n vijf of zes keer gecleared, maar na de eerste keer zat daar al helemaal geen uitdaging meer in. Nu is het gewoon telkens tien minuten onnodig oponthoud, en zodra je steeds de latere biomes bereikt heb je in één run dus drie of vier bossfights van tien minuten die je met gemak haalt, maar waar je wel te veel tijd aan kwijt bent.
Dat heb ik in Hades 1 ook nooit begrepen. Games als Dead Cells en Binding of Isaac geven je dan tenminste de ruimte om steeds andere biomes en andere bosses te kiezen, maar het lijkt er niet op dat Supergiant dat nog in deze game gaat verwerken. Ik heb sowieso de indruk dat ze early access nu meer als marketingtruc gebruiken dan als echte ontwikkelfase van de game. Ze voegen gewoon nog één biome en wapen toe en that’s it.
Begrijp me niet verkeerd hoor, iedereen die Hades fantastisch vindt gaat hier ook van genieten. Maar als pure roguelite vind ik beide games wel te veel on rails. Als ik na 3 uurtjes spelen al zit te zuchten zodra ik bij de eerste boss aankom gaat dat er niet veel beter op worden na 30 uur of 300 uur.

Daar heb je gelijk in hoor, maar gezien het succes van deel 1 is dit alsnog wel een heel mooi cijfer.
Ik kan iedereen overigens de onderstaande docuserie over de eerste Hades aanraden. Geeft een mooi kijkje op het hele Early Access gebeuren, maar ook de tegenslagen die zo'n studio meemaakt. Bijvoorbeeld een inbraak en natuurlijk COVID. Hopelijk wordt er ook weer zo'n reeks gemaakt over Hades II.

Hades zelf nog nooit gespeeld helaas omdat die nooit op PS+ is geweest,
Het 3d spreekt mij wel aan, alle concurrenten zijn 2D wat toch wat minder vrijheid geeft.
De allerbeste roguelite ooit gemaakt is trouwens Slay the Spire. Dat breng ik gewoon als een feit, want dat is het ook.
Hoewel 3D niet altijd zalig is. Enter the Gungeon vond ik dan weer 3x niks.
Hades 1 is nu ook fysiek te koop, dat maakt het allemaal weer wat makkelijker natuurlijk om te proberen.
