In de politiek is het al langer een bekend verschijnsel: de harde kern van aanhangers die alles geloven wat hun Leider zegt en die alle andere politieke partijen voor gek verklaren. Deze vorm van tunnelvisie is op veel andere terreinen ook terug te vinden: zo heb je de fervente voetbalsupporters, de trouwe Christenen en sinds een aantal jaar ook de game-fanboys.
